What food is served at a Hogwarts Feast?

Throughout the Harry Potter series, we hear many wonderful descriptions of the food served both in the magical community and in the muggle community.

From the food Aunt Petunia makes, but Harry doesn’t always get to eat. To the candy from the trolley on the Hogwarts Express when Harry is introduced to all the wonderful candy treats of the magical world.

I have to say, the recipes in Harry Potter all seem mouth-watering!

And then, there are the phenomenal Hogwarts feasts! It starts with the Welcome Feast on the first night of school. After a long trip northward on the Hogwarts Express, and then across the cold lake to the castle. By the time the students actually make it to the Great Hall and the sorting is finished, they are ready for some food!

We also hear about a few other Hogwarts feasts throughout the books: the Halloween feast, the Christmas feast and the Last Day of Term Feast. Each of these Hogwarts feasts is laden with delicious-sounding foods.

The traditional Hogwarts feast includes foods like roast beef and roast chicken, boiled and roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, peas, carrots, and gravy. There is always an overabundance of food and choices of food!
